Matthew and the Atlas release new single ahead of UK tour

Earlier this month, alt-folk outfit Matthew and the Atlas relieved news of their forthcoming album Morning Dancer. Following the announcement the group have today released their latest single 'Pyres'.

The single is the first to come from the latest album which is due for release on Fri 10 May. The album will be the group's third following 2014's Other Rivers and 2016's Temple. In line with the new record the five-piece, fronted by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Hegarty, will head out on an 12-date UK tour this May.

The tour will give fans the first opportunity to hear the new material live. The group kick things off on Sun 12 May at Patterns in Brighton heading up and down the country before a final show on Wed 28 May at the Mash House in Edinburgh. The group follow with a show in the Irish capital on Wed 29 May.
