German composer will play his biggest Scotland shows to date
Esteemed German experimental composer and Erased Tapes artist, Nils Frahm will return to Scotland for two live shows next Feb. He will perform on Mon 18 Feb at Glasgow's SEC Armadillo followed by a show on Tue 19 Feb at Edinburgh's Usher Hall. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Wed 19 Sep.
Following his 2017 hiatus, the renowned pianist and composer made a much-anticipated return to the live stage this year, embarking on a worldwide tour in support of his seventh album All Melody.
Frahm was due to perform in Scotland as part of the original tour but was forced to cancel shows due to the adverse weather conditions of the infamous 'beast from the east'. Lucky for fans, during this time he has expanded on the creative success of his most recent album bringing out a 5-track EP entitled Encores 1.
His universally acclaimed 2018 album is to be supported by the latest material, of which Encores 1 is the first offering. The EP focuses on an entirely acoustic pallet of sounds with solo piano and harmonium. Speaking of the project Nils said: 'I think the idea of Encores is like musical islands that compliment All Melody'.
Nils Frahm will perform at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow on Mon 18 Feb and Edinburgh's Usher Hall on Tue 19 Feb. Tickets for the shows are available from 9am Wed 19 Sep.
