John Grant to perform at King's Theatre Glasgow as part of Celtic Connections

Glasgow's annual folk, roots and world music festival, Celtic Connections will host John Grant at King's Theatre in Glasgow on Fri 1 Feb 2019. Celtic Connections runs from 17 Jan–3 Feb 2019, and will bring 2,100 musicians from around the world to Glasgow for a celebration of celtic music and its connections. Eighteen days of concerts, ceilidhs, talks, art exhibitions, workshops, and free events will bring the city to life, including a special performance from John Grant. The former Czars singer began a fruitful solo career in 2010 when his debut album Queen of Denmark received critical acclaim and was chosen as Best Album Of 2010 by the British music magazine MOJO. Grant was also nominated as Best Breakthrough Act at the Mojo Awards and won Best Live Act. His anticipated fourth studio album Love is Magic is due to be released on 12 Oct 2018. This will be his first release since 2005 album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure.
Grant last toured the UK in 2014 with a concert hall tour that received rave reviews. He will tour the UK in 2019 sandwiching his Glasgow appearance with dates at Leeds, Liverpool, Hull, Manchester and more.
