Britpop favourites teaming up to take on some of the country's biggest venues in December

Fans of 90s guitar music, particularly the britpop strand, rejoice. James and The Charlatans have announced a joint UK tour for December, with tickets on general sale at 9.30am on Fri 20 Jul.

The two hugely popular bands will kick off the run of dates in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro Arena on Wed 5 Dec, before heading to London on Fri 7 Dec. The shows finish in the north at Manchester Arena and Leeds' First Direct Arena on Sat 8 and Sun 9 Dec respectively.

James, who're one of the headliners for this year's Electric Fields Festival in Dumfries and Galloway, had massive hits with the likes of 'Sit Down', 'She's So High', 'Laid' and 'Sometimes' in their heyday, and are still an immensely popular live act.

The Charlatans, led by Tim Burgess, released their 13th studio album Different Days back in 2017, cracking the top 10 of the UK charts in the process. It's a bill that will make the day of tens of thousands of music lovers across the country, don't miss out.
