Head to the top of Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal for a spin on your BMX, skateboard or inline skates. Not yet a consummate professional? Lessons and equipment hire are available for all three ‘freesports’. There is also a designated breakdancing area. See www.trans gressionpark.co.uk, or call 0131 555 3755.
With 1700 tonnes of fresh snow decorating the main slope, the indoor centre Sno!Zone, at Braehead just outside Glasgow, offers lessons and space for skiers and snowboarders. Tobogganing and ‘ice slide’ sessions are also timetabled daily for those seeking extra thrills.
See www.snozonebraehead.com, or call 0871 222 5672.
Boasting the two longest zipwires in Britain, try out Go Ape at Aberfoyle if you fancy vertiginous tree-top walks and 90 foot waterfalls. There are several corporate packages for businesses who want to bond amidst oaks and pines.
