Alex Turner and band to play arena shows in support of sixth album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino
After months of endless speculation, Arctic Monkeys have finally announced UK and Ireland tour dates for 2018. Tickets for the arena gigs go on general sale at 9am on Fri 13 Apr.
The band, who will release their sixth studio album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino on Fri 11 May, will play nine arena gigs in support. They kick off the run of shows at Manchester Arena on Thu 6 and 7 Sep, performing at London's O2 Arena and then in Birmingham, before two hometown shows at Sheffield's FLYDSA Arena on Tue 18 and Wed 19 Sep.
A quick stopover at Dublin's 3 Arena on Wed 24 Sep follows, with the tour coming to a close at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on Sun 27 Sep.
The band will be joined on the tour by the prodigiously talented youngsters The Lemon Twigs, fronted by the brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario.
