House Of Dun & Montrose Basin Nature Reserve
Tell us more about this place.
This beautiful Georgian house, overlooking Montrose Basin, was built in 1730 by William Adam. The house features superb plasterwork, a particular and memorable feature. Outside, enjoy the attractive walled garden and woodland walks. Within the grounds the courtyard has undergone extensive repairs and redecoration to restore it to its former glory. The grounds, with the help of our international team of volunteers, are looking at their best despite one of the worst winters on record. The biggest change has to be the introduction of the Hutchison collection of Scottish colourists and the Stirling collection of furniture, ranging from the 18th century to the 1960s. Quite simply breathtaking!
