One of the most elegant 18th century buildings in the country, this historic house features one of the best collections of Spanish art in the UK from the collection of Sir William Stirling Maxwell. From April until the end of October the house comes to life with costumed interpreters taking on the roles of servants and distinguished guests from its Edwardian heyday.
Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Maxwell family. The present house dates from around 1750 and contains one of the finest collections of Spanish art in the United Kingdom together with furniture and furnishings appropriate to an Edwardian country house. Set within Pollok Country Park, also home to the Burrell Collection, Pollok House's surroundings are a delight to stroll in, perhaps after enjoying a wonderful lunch or afternoon tea in the Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant.
