With an international reputation as one of the most successful art colleges in the UK, Edinburgh College of Art is based in the centre of the Old Town and many of its studios have breathtaking views of the skyline dominated by Edinburgh Castle or out to the Pentland Hills. The two main events that take place each year at ECA are the Fashion Show in May and the Degree Show in June. Other events and exhibitions are staged throughout the year. Notable alumni include Callum Innes, Turner Prize nominee, and Richard Wright, Turner Prize winner in 2009.
