Awarded 2 AA Rosettes and recommended by the Via Michelin, Hardens and Square Meal guides, Axis at One Aldwych focuses on modern British dishes alongside old favourites.
The menu celebrates the best of British, with carefully sourced seasonal produce along with the addition of lighter dishes and salads. Favourites include halibut roasted on the bone with broad bean purée, preserved lemon, thyme and girolles and braised beef bourguignon in red wine with mashed potatoes and red wine sauce.
The wine list presents an exciting range by the carafe (375ml), as well as the 'Sommelier Suggestion' of two whites and two reds available by the glass and carafe. The service at Axis at One Aldwych is as flexible as ever, taking note of guests who simply desire one or two dishes before or after the theatre, as well as those who love to linger over a relaxing three course dinner with interesting wine.
