Presenting classic and contemporary French cuisine to London diners, Almeida is a charming French restaurant in Islington overseen by Head Chef Alan Jones, who has created an innovative menu of healthy and seasonal dishes to enjoy.
Prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients, Almeida's traditional French cuisine has been infused with the modern touch of Chef Alan Jones and the kitchen team. From the succulent Fillet of Beef au Poivre with pommes puree and mouth-watering Slow Roast Belly of Suckling Pig, to the light Steamed Sea Trout, Cockles and Smoked Bacon Chowder, each dish is a flavourful treat for your taste buds. Carefully selected to complement the a la carte menus, Almeida's wine list showcases fine wines from both old and new worlds available by the glass and by the bottle.
Pre and post theatre menus are available for diners visiting the adjacent Almeida Theatre and a traditional Sunday lunch menu is also served, highlighted by the Roast Rib of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, accompanied by roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For a more intimate dining experience, Almeida can offer you an 18-seat private dining room with menus tailored to match your requirements in a quiet venue, ideal for meetings or private functions.
