This review is taken from the current (2012) edition.
Set in the middle of the remarkable EICA indoor climbling arena, the café operated by Heritage Portfolio (the team behind the cafés at the Modern Art and Portrait galleries in Edinburgh) boasts a pretty remarkable view, with grandstand seats for the climbing, scrambling, bouldering and abseiling taking place on and around the former quarry's towering artificial walls. The menu offer snacks, treats, baked potatoes, filled seeded rolls and a decent array of drinks, with at least a hint of healthy options such as seed bars and small baked tatties for the kids.
