My friend, her two young daughters and niece and I have just had our frist visit to the cupcake cafe and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the whole experience.
We had a very warm welcome and this set the scene for the rest of the time spent at the cafe bar. All the staff were excellent and seemed happy to help in any way.
The cupcakes were excellent and the extra cream and marshmallows for the hot chocolates for the kids was a lovely extra touch.
Finally I would like to thank Paul himself for letting us in to his class to show the girls what they had been making. The girls loved this.
We are already planning our next outing.
Thank you very much.

Really enjoyed our visit. My children ate cup cakes and said they were excellent and I ate the biggest scone I have ever seen. Its a really nice setting in the countryside and all the staff were very helpful. Maybe I come back and do one of the courses next time!

We arrived at 12.55 hrs on Friday and was shown to a table. Then were totally ignored. We waited until 13.20 hrs and when no one had even come to take our order we put our coats on an left. During this time of waiting, we also noticed that customers at neighbouring tables were grumbling about the service, with one poor customer who had been waiting and waiting for his bill, going to the counter to pay, only to be told to go back to his seat and wait for the bill to be brought. I will never be back and would never recommend this place to anyone. In fact the opposite is the case. How this business expects to survive by offering such dreadful service I cannot start to comprehend. In all honesty my rating of NO stars is appropriate.

Such a shame, this place could be fantastic! This is the 4th time I have been and honestly thought they would be organised by now. Each time has been disappointing. They seem to have no system. Its soup and sandwiches, nothing tricky or timely but oh dear do you wait. We waited at the 'please wait to be seated' sign and waited and waited. Im a patient person, waited tables as a teenager so am very understanding and appreciative when dining out. Asked could I take the vacant table then we waited an unacceptable time before being at least acknowledged. Please organise staff on door, tables, drinks, takeaway cakes, and till, not the same person attempting all - it just isnt working! Sandwich pricey but tasty. Cupcakes just ok, too heavy. Nothing like Bibis Cupcakes.
Hope they get organised soon as they have great name, great location and super room and garden.

Firstly let us unreservedly apologies to those who haven't received the standard of service expected here.
From the 3rd of January the Cupcake Cafe Bar will become 'Paul Bradford Cupcake Cafe Bar' a new management team have laid down a strategy to ensure that both the service and quality match the brand image associated with Paul Bradford.
Savoury food will return to the menu along with cakes that have Paul's seal of approval.
Paul Bradford Cupcake Cafe Bar will look to encourage Corporate evening events as well as children's parties, but appreciate that this can only be borne from the highest levels of service and goods on sale.

Visited this cafe this afternoon and was very disappointed. I had been once previously and enjoyed it. They no longer serve lunch so unless you want soup you need to fill yourself with sugary cupcakes.
Being a cold December day, the carpark had completely frozen over. I had to slip slide my way in carrying my babies car seat. We were promptly seated and orders taken although it was deserted. My friend advised them about the carpark and was told that people had been complaining all day but would put rock salt down.
After a quick coffee & cake we packed up to leave. We asked if the carpark had been salted as we were scared of falling, esp with kids. Their response?..... they knew nothing about it. As its very poorly lit it was the most terrifying 5 minutes of my life.
Plus the unkempt scaggly long haired man clearing the table spilled water all over my babies blanket and he didn't even bat an eyelid. The cupcakes are also much smaller than before and with not much change from £5 it wasn't worth the effort.

Seven of us went to the Cupcake Bar today - very excited (and hungry)as had heard great things about it. Beware - the Cupcake Bar are no longer serving snacks. A bowl of soup, a cupcake, scone or slice of crispie cake is your lot. We left ... and went back to Falkirk for late lunch (by then). The Cupcake Bar probably lost out on a £50+ sale. We won't be back either.
Oh and at least half a dozen others left in the space of time we were there....

I recently checked out the cupcake cafe and to my sheer delight had a fantastic time!granted it was busy, but its what one would expect for such a gorgeous wee place! the garden was stunning on arrival, and we were quickly shown to our seats. the waitress was very pleasant and accommodating, even though she looked extremely busy, she smiled through our full service and what looks like her other tables too. i ordered the soup and half sandwich, my partner a baked potato and it was fresh and very yummy! there were so many amazing choices of cupcake we couldn't decide so i got a chocolate baileys, my partner the lemon with white chocolate, and halfed them both to try. sooooooo moist and morish! we also took some away to try later - didn't last long!
overall i would definitely recommend the cafe. its a stunning find and a sure hit for families and friends alike. being surrounded by the incredible cakes on display was a bonus too!
ignore the other comments - i can assure you its fantastic!

We visit the cupcake cafe bar nearly every weekend and we think its fantastic. The food is amazing especially the soup, the staff are fantastic and the cupcakes are out of this world. My 2 year old daughter asks me everday if we are going for a cupcake, she loves it. They started doing breakfasts recently which has pleased my husband. It is always very busy but we have never had to wait too long for a table.

Took my wife out for a treat and as she likes cupcakes thought we would give this place a try. Big mistake. When we arrived a lady told us it was waitress service. There were 3 of them behind the counter. There was a family of 3 sitting at a table waiting to be served. A girl who looked as though she worked in the kitchen was standing talking to people at one of the tables. We looked through the menu and decided what we were going to have and waited, and waited. A lady and young girl came in and sat down. We were still waiting. After 10 mins one of the ladies behind the counter came out and went to the family of 3 and took their order. Here we go we thought she will come and ask us now. No, she handed the order in and then started giving the family napkins and cutlery. We had had enough, we got up and left. No one said a word to us as we walked out. Surely when the lady was taking the orders she could have gone to all 3 tables that were waiting and took the orders . Their cakes looked nice in the displays and it would have been nice to try one out but it looks like we never will as we will not be going back.

The service in this place is poor. The meals we had were of poor quality and quantity. I would not return or recommend this place to anyone.
