Eating & Drinking Guide

This review is taken from the 2011 edition.

New York, London, Bogota, Valencia and now Glasgow! Wok to walk is an attractive new kid on the superfast food block. At first it is a little confusing as you must follow the rules – choose rice or noodles, add favourite bits then select a sauce. It is all ready in less than a minute. The result is not gourmet but it is fun to watch the skilled woksman handling the pan – at roughly the same temperature as the centre of the sun – and deftly tipping all the food into a tiny box to serve. The place tries to have green credentials too, but the ‘please sort waste into the correct bins for chopsticks, food waste and cardboard boxes to bring good karma’ area can end up as a big old mess. Tsk tsk to the thoughtless clientele for that! At five quid for a meal, with plenty of veggie stuff and halal as standard, it is a very welcome, healthy addition to late-night Sauchiehall Street eating.
