The Frigate is a Continental style bar in Ullapool, housed in a traditional white washed building dating back to the 18th century. For a Highland establishment it keeps unusually late opening hours. From 8 am to 11am you can get traditional breakfast. From noon sandwiches, pack lunches and home baking are available to customers who want to shelter from the west Highland weather inside, sit on a pavement side table outside or head for the hills. From 12noon right up until 11 pm it is possible to partake of dishes from the Italian themed menu. Hot smoked salmon carbonara is a favourite choice but you can choose from other pasta dishes or hand made pizzas. A wide range of cocktails, beers and whiskies are also on offer, alongside fair trade teas and coffee.
