Chillies & Peppers has formulated a unique approach to dining that aims to combine two very different eating experiences under one roof. By day the establishment is a bistro, serving classic British fare alongside the much-loved pancake selection that has been prepared by various tenants on the premises for over 30 years. By night, the restaurant trains its vision towards the East, trading its bistro menu for a comprehensive selection of fine Indian curries. The curries are beautifully prepared with the peppered lamb and chilli-garlic kings prawns of particular merit . The naan bread is quite possibly the best in a town. Peppers Bistro runs daily from 9.30 AM-4.00 PM, while Chillies Restaurant takes the reins from 5:00 PM until late. The dual identity nature of the establishment elicits some scepticism, but the calibre of the curry side of things goes a long way towards settling any doubts.

Chillies and PeppersReport -
Visited St. Andrews today with my family (partner, Father and two children) and after a great time on the beach we went for lunch. Peppers looked ok and seemed to be quite friendly. Was a bit put off by the amount of time it took to be served in a quite quiet restaurant, the waitress seemed to be under-trained (not her fault). The food looked and tasted like frozen food (if this is the case lower your prices), the kids' meals were very bland and the gravy was first forgotten then when it arrived was actually solid! Pretty bad if you can't make gravy from granules/powder. We complained and I heard the chef/cook asking if we had gone with the waitress replying 'they are going now'. I recommend you choose a place that is worth the money, cooks decent food and treats it's customers with respect.
