This review is taken from the 2011 edition.
This functioning 1815 lighthouse sits proudly on the Loch Ryan peninsula commanding panoramic views of one of Scotland’s most spectacular coastlines. Exuding a luxurious, romantic charm it lends itself to a truly unique dining experience – without pretense. There’s a nice buzz about the place, attracting locals and tourists alike. Menus change daily emphasising freshness of ingredients and produce sourced locally, including Galloway lamb, Scotch beef, Craufurdland Estate game and Marrbury Smokehouse salmon. Great value in terms of quality and the whole experience, whether for à la carte lunch or the set-price five-course dinner.
