This review is taken from the 2011 edition.
This newly opened venture's premise of 'Asian Fusion' might set alarm bells ringing. But in fact Eastern Platform, which looks out onto the Victoria Road from its 1st floor perch, doesn't attempt to 'fuse', but rather offers a concise selection of Far Eastern classics; well-known dishes categorised into Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Malaysian sections. Japanese ramen dishes are light but loaded with a variety of stuff (onion, ginger, little mushrooms); chow mein ones use thinner noodles with a fuller, more soy-driven base. There are barbecue pork buns, chicken on lemongrass skewers, tempura, gyoza and rendang curries. Their excellent value ‘meal for one person’ deals offer a wide spread from the menu for under £10. It's a welcome addition to Glasgow’s Eastern takeaway ranks, and in particular to those of the Southside of the city.
- High point: Great selection
- Low point: Easy to walk by

food is amazing - we had friends round and ordered most of the menu, everything was delicious. have recommended it to a few folk and they all loved it as well - you're mad if you don't give it a go!

This is the best new restaurant / takeaway on the block. Particular favourites are Gyoz; a chicken parcel starter which is tender, fresh and amazingly aromatic, Chicken Sambal, a main dish where again the chicken is cooked to perfection and the dish is overflowing with freshly cooked veg and also lemon Duck - I have never had duck in a takeaway before which wasn't dry!
Fantastic value too if you sit in and prompt if you get it delivered. Try it now before they get too busy!!
