This review is taken from the 2011 edition.
Operetta is a smart, large restaurant and café, which by day bustles with office workers grabbing soups, sandwiches or a quick pasta. In the evening the restaurant suffers a little atmospherically from its daytime existence – the large self-service counters are empty and music radio plays on the stereo. To start the fritto misto featured a lovely finger of tallegio cheese, a king prawn and some calamari all breaded and deep-fried. It is tasty and well cooked as are the prawns in garlic and chilli. The steak tips pappardella main features pasta with slices of quality fillet steak in a rich creamy sauce – perhaps a little too rich as it is in danger of overpowering the steak. The meringue – the only home-made dessert on offer – to follow was generous and gooey rather than chewy in the middle. It can all be washed down with a glass of decent house wine from a pretty good wine list featuring big hitters like Barolo at good restaurant prices.
- High point: Large bright clean space
- Low point: Atmosphere not quite right at nights

OperettaReport -
beautiful surroundings. 5pm menu good selection, didn't read full menu. Service was very attentive and we were not hurried even although one of our party was rather late.
Most of us had mussells to start which were enjoyed by all. Two had soup both different and delicious.
For mains again most had parpadelle with beef which was define.
I would return again.
