This review is taken from the current (2012) edition.
Polynesian stylings (straw basket chairs, palm trees, ‘Easter Island’ heads) alongside 1950s Americana (MAD comics and a popcorn machine) – to the unordained, this place benefits from an explanation. The décor constitutes, you see, a ‘Tiki Bar’, the like of which was once popular across the US. It’s not where one would go for a quick pint, but for fun and (rum-based) cocktails, it’s great. Classics like the pina colada and the mai tai sit alongside less familiar creations like the zombie (5 rums, and you’re only allowed to order it twice) and their own coconut grenade. The freshness and zing stand them out, as manager Ian Sanderson insists on using only fresh fruit and home-made syrups to complement the 80 different rums. The music tends to be stuff from the 1950s as well – rockabilly-flavoured Saturday evenings are particularly popular, but it’s an enjoyable place to drink pretty much all the time.
- High point: Rum selection and rummy cocktails
- Low point: Not so good if you don't like rum

The Tiki BarReport -
Ten out of ten. Can't say enough good things about this refreshing new bar. Service is excellent, cocktails are out of this world, music excellent, free popcorn - excellent! At last Glasgow has a concept bar that's something different from the rest. Pat yourselves on the back people for a job well done. The staff are super friendly, helpful, attentative and welcoming and the cocktails are the best I've ever tasted around the world. The little umberellas make it all worthwhile, they are reasonably priced considering the quality and attention to detail that goes into making these. Quality alcohol and fresh fruit, they are worth the wait and simply to die for. Try out the cafe Patron White Russians (suggested by the staff when I mentioned I have a fondness for quality tequila) with coconut vodka, they're not on the menu but simply wonderful. Love, love, love this bar. Will be back asap!
