The Barras Art & Design Centre, in the heart of Glasgow's world famous Barras Market, houses several homegrown artists including jewellery makers, retro furniture restorers, photographers, dress, lingerie and t-shirt designers. The centre is also home to the BAAD Cafe, serving quality, locally sourced, freshly prepared breakfast, lunches and home baking. The centre also runs a number of events throughout the year and hosts a craft fair every Saturday and Sunday.
