This review is taken from the current (2011) edition.
With a subtle tongue-in-cheek nod to its namesake film, Slumdog has a rags to riches theme with silk fabrics, ornamental carvings, and stylish seating contrasting with the faux graffiti ‘jaiho!’ alley wall. House cocktails flow with names such as Latika’s Lover, Mumbai Riots and Slum Yum, while the food is good party fodder, whatever the occasion. Tempting Indian street snacks range from garlic chilli king prawns and gilafi lamb kebab to pakoras and hot chicken wings. The savoury Slumdog roll is a toasted paratha stuffed with chicken, lamb or veg – a flavoursome hit, sadly mismatched with greasy potato wedges. From signature curries to sizzling kebabs straight from the clay oven, dishes come in standard main or snack sizes, with the tender and rich butter chicken a stand-out favourite. Slumdog’s party-friendly dining – with good value lunch, pre-theatre and group menus – is ideal for the regular promotional events, comedy nights, weekend DJs and other entertainments on offer. And the perfect curry complement? A pot of Assam chai or try Slumdog’s premium draught lager from local WEST brewery.
- High point: Draught lager from WEST brewery
- Low point: Food lacks wow factor on flavour and texture

This resturant is highly recommended. It doesn't look much from outside but inside its lovely. You are made feel very welcome & nothing was a bother to the staff who were very friendly & helpful.
Meal was first class. We went with a groupon voucher so had a great deal. We were impressed that much we would return paying full price. Excellent you must try it.
