The Edinburgh branch of a chain of award-winning wine merchants based in Cambridge, this shop stocks a wide variety of wines (particularly French), Scottish beers, malt whiskies and a good few other, more esoteric bottles. The staff are friendly and though they may know a great deal about their subject, they aren't upset if you don't. Since their suppliers are often very small, there's a great deal for the layman to discover and also to set connoisseurial eyebrows twitching.
