Run by the Montgomery family, Ardardan Estate is set in a walled garden surrounded by its own farm. The estate consists of plant nursery, tearoom and farm shop, which includes a deli counter with an impressive range of Scottish cheeses and home-made produce plus an olive bar. Priding itself on knowing the full traceability of its produce, it strives to stock as many Scottish and local products as possible. The farm's free range eggs are a key ingredient in their delicious handmade cakes, and the tearoom's scones are the best for miles around.

This is a quality establishment. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly and courteous, nothing is too much trouble. The farm shop is second to none for variety and exceptional quality wares. There are also animals to be seen and walks in the woodland. Very picturesque.
A family business. Very community minded also.
