A botanical institution in the West End, Roots and Fruits could be a better place to pick up your fresh fruit and veg than a plastic-wrapped corporate over-hyped chain. Owner Garth Gulland has been in the business for over 30 years, and even owns a small farm – perhaps why the impressive array of fruit and vegetables that he sources locally when in season is so good. There is news abound of another West End shop to open in autumn 2010.
