Live lobster tanks and wriggling razor clams are testament to the freshness of the seafood available at the Clark Brothers' harbourside Musselburgh outlet. This reputable fishmonger has been in business for more than 100 years and the outstanding quality and variety of its range help to draw regular queues of customers. Alongside cod, haddock and salmon are more exotic fish, including jumbo tiger prawns, swordfish and tuna. Their speciality is smoked salmon prepared at their smokery.

I absolutely love this place! I travel from Morningside to Musselburgh twice a week to get our fish here. It's so fresh and you can see them preparing it through the glass, which is nice. The staff are very helpful and gave me some great ideas for cooking fish for my baby. Would def recommend!

I love Clark Brothers! I enjoy fish but would never consider myself a huge seafood fan. However I always get really excited when I come here.
They have such a wide and diverse selection of things to choose from, I always seem to find something for sale here that I didn't even know existed. Just looking at them all fresh in the shop makes me want to go round and attempt to eat a little bit of everything. Even my vegetarian girlfriend likes coming here to see the wide and wonderful selection of seafood on offer!
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and are more than happy to answer any questions you might have or to prepare the fish a certain way. They prepare all their produce in store and you can watch them do it through the big glass windows in the shop.
The only downside to this 'plaice' (hoho!) is that it seems to cost a little bit more than your average fishmonger which means that you might be better off heading somewhere else if you're only looking for a wee haddock fillet. However, in my opinion, it's well worth it for the delicious produce on offer.
