Knowes farm shop is a friendly wee place run by Peter and Hilary Cochran. Fruit and veg is the mainstay, but they also sell eggs laid by free-range hens that you can feed when you visit. Meats and cheeses are brought in from nearby, and there's also a range of preserves, pates and desserts, lovingly prepared by Hilary. Their 'sun and dung' vegetables aren't certified organic, but they are grown with care and without pesticides.
