Herbie, small as it is, can't offer the range of produce that Peckhams can a few doors down, nor can it stock the vast selection of cheeses that Mellis carries. However, when you find yourself squeezed in there between the counter and the bread baskets, the walls lined with wine bottles and preserves, you'll find that you won't need to stop off anywhere else before heading off to Inverleith with an exceptionally greedy picnic.
