East Grange Loft

When it comes to Xmas party nights which include dinner, I must admit my expectations are never that high. However, what I do expect at least is warm, edible food, decent staff and a package that is as described!! After attending an Xmas night at the loft (costing £40 a head may I add) I can assure you, even the lowest expections were not even nearly met! We were greeted by rude, obnoxious staff.. Speaking to their "guests" like a bunch of school children.. A free bar that lastest until dessert was served.This would have been good if both the luke warm starters and inedible main courses hadn't been rushed so fast that the "chef" had
actually cooked the vegetables..self service main meal of slightly warm
meats and raw vegetables with stone cold gravy.. Mingin!!! the pre-announced "all night free soft drinks" quickly came to a hault along with
the free bar (so much for me starting the evening off by coMplimenting them on this idea to encourage designated drivers!!!) Plate, upon plate of uneaten food was collected in by staff who wandered around wearing
hoodies and their hands tucked up their sleeves to fight off the chill of the venue - no wonder none of them were able to crack a smile.Overall, a wasted night and more so.. A wasted £80 per couple for a long awaited, Once a year, Xmas night out ... A total joke in today's financial climate-never again will we return to the loft.. For a lunch, meal and certainly not
for a function. In my opinion,save your cash and buy in a Chinese,some beers/wine and a DVD...and you'll have plenty change leftover...and be warm!

Very dissapointed with the Christmas party we attended here. SO bad I don't know where to start.

The food was cold and the waitresses rude. The barn the party was held in has holes where the walls meet the doors so it is pretty cold inside. The free drinks that were supposed to be served throughout the meal stopped when dessert was put out. The meal was self service, which when you've paid £40 to eat you would expect to have dinner served at the table, rather than plonked on a plate at a carvery style counter. Vegetables were undercooked. Some starters were still frozen in the middle and dessert was just awful. The servers were so cold they were wandering around with their hands tucked inside there sleeves. Oh, and the 'human juke box' was actually a Michael Buble impersonater.
