Merchant Lodge Hotel

The Merchant Lodge is a former home of city tobacco lords, and is now a privately owned three star hotel with 40 individually-styled cosy bedrooms. Situated in a secluded street off Argyle Street, one of Glasgow's main shopping thoroughfares, rooms range from singles to quad and family rooms, and each one is decorated simply but classically with pine furniture and wicker chairs. The Breakfast room is like a small village tearoom with pine beams, matching tables and a stone floor, with a hearty, freshly-prepared Scottish breakfast on offer.
