Nominate this restaurant forA tea room with a gallery and post office attached may sound like something from the imaginations of the scriptwriters of Monarch Of The Glen but The Village Tea Room in Buchlyvie is real. If you don’t feel moved to buy a picture of a golf course by local artist Graeme Baxter, do get yourself a bowl of soup or one of their excellent cakes. Both homemade, they would easily sustain you through an afternoon’s yomping. If you are driving to the National Park from Stirling this is the best place to stop for sustenance without leaving the A811.
