Glengoyne Distillery
Glengoyne is one of Scotland’s prettiest distilleries, a whitewashed beacon nestling under the Campsies that, behind its main buildings, hides a 50ft waterfall. There’s a range of tours for different levels of interest and expertise –- you can try making your own blend -- and even the most basic is rounded off with a dram of the 10-year-old, whose delicate flavour, so it’s claimed, comes from water filtered through the rocks of nearby Dumgoyne Hill for up to 40 years.
