Slap bang in the city centre, Crema offers a welcome change from the fast food mulch shoppers often have to resort to. Smiling staff dish up soup and sandwiches they’ve made freshly on the day – sunblush tomatoes with mozzarella and chicken tikka are popular choices - and on warm days you can wash it all down with a spine-tingling polar smoothie. The wooden benches and muted light look like the result of a raid on Ikea and the mixture of self and table service can be confusing, but these are minor quibbles in one of Stirling’s standout eateries.
