The Illicit Still

The Illicit Still is a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde -- is it a pub or a bar? Head downstairs to find a warm, pub atmosphere with a maze of nooks and crannies. The sofas, seats, booths and tables are great for cosy conversations, especially around the real fire. Just don't expect a pint of real ale. However, there is a good wine list and pitchers of lethal cocktails, and the food menu is also hard to fault. Football on plasma screens and Franz Ferdinand on the sound system are typical of its pleasant split personality.
