Built on the Clyde in 1947, the beautifully restored *3Waverley*2 is a Glasgow institution and is now the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. Heading 'doon the watter' to resorts like Rothesay, Brodick or Ayr was traditional for Glaswegians heading off for their holidays. The paddle steamer, originally built as a Clyde ferry, is a memorable and nostalgic way to see the sights and scenery of the Clyde river and firth. On board facilities include a self-service restaurant, bars, a heated observation lounge, tearoom and souvenir shop -- but don't leave without paying visit to the engine room to see the engines at work.
