The Greig Street Bridge crosses the River Ness taking you away from the mercantile city centre to Huntly Street. The friendly, traditional Waterfront pub is 100 metres to the right of the bridge, its golden signage shining across the river at night. Inside the décor is dusky coral with dark wood floors and wall panelling lit by bronzed candelabras. With Aviemore real ale on tap and a tasty bar food menu (all reasonably priced), this roomy pub attracts a diverse clientele.

I could not believe I had eaten in the same pub reading the previous review. I just popped in for a beer while visiting Inverness for a few days with my wife last week. It was bitterly cold outside and the lunchtime menu looked most inviting. I had the Steak & Ale pie and to be honest it was fantastic. Plenty of meat and gravy (sign of a good pie) and a wonderful pastry. My wife had the Cod Goujons which she enjoyed as well. I had intended to return in evening for their steak special but was prevented in doing so only by the foul weather.
I would definitely recommend it.

Very disappointed in my meal after hearing good. The steak and ale pie looked like a plate of stew with what looked like a doe ball melted through it, definitely could not be called pastry ! apart from looking very sad it was cold . I was offered a replacement but reneged.
