The River Café and Restaurant

This tranquil little riverside café serves cooked breakfasts, lunch, coffees and cakes all day, and high tea 5--7pm. At lunch there is an extensive choice from filled croissants, baked potatoes and quiche to smoked cod fishcakes and five daily specials. The blackboard menu is filled with classic Scottish cooking. Like everything here, desserts are home-made -- typical examples are profiteroles with chocolate and Baileys sauce, crème brûlée or apple pie.
