The Dores Inn
Lying eight miles south-west of Inverness, the tiny village of Dores boasts the very popular Dores Inn. Housed in a small white-washed cottage that still retains many of its original features, the bar is small and sparsely decorated but the restaurant is cosy with a log fire in winter, and a few tables are scattered outside overlooking the loch. Drinks and food (mediocre pub fare) are inexpensive and there is a good selection of malt whiskies.
