Westport Gallery
Tell us more about this place.
Sitting on a rather cool wee street of shops, cafés and bars, the Westport Gallery is crammed with sleek, modern bits and bobs, from strange table lamps to exotic cushions, as well as less useful but just as intriguing pieces of oddball art. The walls are covered in paintings, prints and mirrors, and there is a small display of quality jewellery from local designers as well. And if you can’t find anything in here, you can always try their sister shop, Studio Art And Interiors, across the road, which tends to stock bigger wooden pieces as well as furniture and furnishings.

This store offers a very poor service. I was given an expensive article of clothing for Christmas (purchased on 23rd December) and tried to exchange it, with my receipt, for exactly the same article one size bigger which was on display and the owner was not only uncooperative but rude. I would not advise anyone to shop here. Interestingly, when discussing this with a colleague I discovered that she had bought an article of jewellery which fell apart after three days of wearing. On returning it to the shop the same lady said they did not exchange jewellery even if it was faulty!
