Snuggled on Perth Road in the West End, Agacan is named after its flamboyant owner, and the idiosyncratic wee place is rammed with the man’s oddball artworks, the open kitchen acting as a stage for him to perform on most nights as well. The food is uncomplicated but carefully prepared and served up in large portions. Main courses are dominated by kebabs, the sis kofte (minced lamb) and pirzola (lamb cutlets) being the tastiest bets. There is Turkish beer and surprisingly palatable Turkish wine and you can finish with a sticky sweet slice of baklava and an eye-popping Turkish coffee.

This has to be the best place in town without a doubt. proven by how long you have to book in advance for a table. It can do you waste line no good ask my wife. might look expensive but the portions are reflected in the price. Bit wary then? then try a take out. will not be let down.
