Royal Thai
Aberdeen’s most revered Thai restaurant hides its quality under a kitsch 80’s bushel. The blue neon lighting and flamingo-pink seating might be a little Miami Vice but the food is anything but criminal. Starters featuring crab and prawns are typical of the strong seafood theme. Stir-fried frogs legs with chilli make an interesting addition to the usual Thai curry main dishes, of which homok talay is a magic medley of squid, crab, and mussels. A serious choice of salads and the mushroom volcano typify a good effort to cater for vegetarians. Crockett & Tubbs would definitely appreciate the kick-ass food.
