Dr Jives is the place for the independent label lover and anyone looking to put their best, fashionable foot ahead of the crowd. Launched in 1987 as a vintage men's clothing store, the Merchant City boutique suffered a hiccup in 2004 when it announced its closure, much to the dismay of fans. Now in the capable hands of Vixy Rae - owner of the ultra-trendy Odd One Out on Victoria Street in Edinburgh - the shop shines again. Men and women will covet the cooler-than-school collections, including names such as Silas and cult French label APC.
