EscaReport -
My girlfriend and I liked this restaurant because the food was very good for the price. The staff were friendly and the service was reasonably quick.
We would go back, but perhaps when it was not so busy.

I am afraid to say that I was highly disappointed by the meal I had at Esca on Friday evening.
I was recommended Esca by some friends, so booked a table for 4 and arrived promptly, to be tiold that my table was not available by a very harassed waitress.
We were told we could sit at the bar next door, but had to split into 2 couples as the tables only sat 2. We got drinks, but had to wait some 15 minutes for menus, then were told our table was ready, but sadly was in E2 not Esca as I had requested.
The food was mediocre to say the least, unseasoned and bland, once it finally arrived. My veal main course was had tough meat, poor sauce and looked like it had been thrown onto the plate, with a sprinkling og chopped parsley as garnish, and my fellow diners commented that there meals were of mediocre to poor quality as well.
This coupled with poor service made for a sadly, very poor evening out and we won't be returning to Esca ever again...I just hope other people have a better experience.
