Formerly known as Underworld, with its Mexican theme, this subterranean bar below Central Station is undergoing a transition as the guide goes to press. The Catwalk Rock Lounge seems set to ditch its taquitos in favour of old-fashioned British food such as mince and tatties and Cumberland sausage - although some elements of the old menu will remain. A rockier reimagining is likely to coincide with the name change, but loud indie and metal, cocktails and a youthful crowd should continue to form the essence of what is already a dark, slightly Goth-orientated establishment - providing a fitting pre-club base for those on their way to the affiliated Cathouse a few doors down. That said, it is still a convenient dining spot for city centre workers and shoppers from lunch till late. Of the Mexican survivors, expect to find the stodgy but satisfying nachos (with all the trimmings) and perhaps the fajitas, filled with either steak, prawns, vegetables or large strips of chicken coated in a black spice mix and cooked in lemon and honey.
