Ledgowan Lodge Hotel

Ledgown Lodge is a no no.
Obsequious yet unhelpful staff obsessed by their tablecloths. Food is bad, really bad, but sold and charged in a way that you might reasonably expect to deliver something really good. Internal decor is bearable, but one does not expect this sort of rubbish from a family-run establishment. Poor location, not much to look at. Long way from the proper hills in the area, despite the claim that Ben Eighe was only 10 minutes down the road. This type of place is unfortunately rather common in the UK. A nice foyer deludes you into thinking you are safe. After 24 hours, you realise you have landed in a "comme il faut" hell. If it were cheap you wouldn't mind. But it is not. There are likely to be many better, and cheaper, places around.
