Oh dear - this could be such a great venue. Lovely great big room, good stage and good sound system. However, it seems to be run by a bunch of crooks and idiots. When my band played there, we almost filled the place, but the bouncers were extremely rude and the manager not much better.
We had a VIP compere (famous radio DJ) who was kicked out halfway through for not having a ticket (he was on the guest list), as well as a guest from the local paper covering the gig.
It then took 3 months to get our money from them, and they screwed us out of 50 quid "for VAT"..
Don't play there.

My boyfriend was badly beaten up by the bouncers at the haunt last night (17/3/12) in what was also an unprovoked attack.
Four huge guys threw him to the ground and bent his arms til he felt like they were breaking, all the time he was screaming in pain. It was the most horrible thing I've seen and I would strongly advise people to steer clear of this place

Unfortunately this venue is now one of the worst in Brighton due to their security staff and the attitude of the management.
I was beaten up by a bouncer in an unprovoked attack. I complained to the management by email and received a very slick response which detailed their version of events (which were completely fabricated). They have since also blocked me from their Facebook page!
Very dodgy operation - wouldn't risk going back there and most people I know now avoid it.
