Saffron Walden Museum is an exciting, family-friendly venue with many hands-on, interactive exhibitions for visitors of all ages. Come and discover our fantastic galleries which cover themes such as: Ancient Egypt, Worlds of Man, Local History, Natural History, Costume, Toys, Ceramics, Furniture, Essex Archaeology and much, much more. We also have regularly changing temporary exhibitions, so who knows what else you might find? Don't forget to say hello to Wallace the Lion and try your hand at excavating in our archaeological sandpit. We also have the ruins of a Norman Castle in the museum grounds, so you can really get your fix of history and adventure here! Hope to see you soon.
