With a mission to show bold contemporary European and world art, this gallery, just off Thistle Street in the New Town, displays work by painters and sculptors, alongside that of architects, designers, photographers and illustrators in two main exhibition areas. Among the artists to have shown work at Atticsalt are Isabell Buenz, Rhea Banker and Katie Pollard. Notable events in the past include the exhibition for the Autism Treatment Trust, showcasing the paintings of Dr Lorene Amet and drawings by her son, Lloyd Allanson.
Atticsalt is Edinburgh's only commercial photography and drawing gallery. It has been established as a gallery for over six years and shows a eclectic mix of work by both International and Scottish artists. Just off Hanover Street, Atticsalt has limited opening hours but will not creatively disappoint.
