Fubar was once Scotland’s home of hardcore, but now the musical policy veers towards nostalgia and chart favourites. Wednesdays are targeted at the gay community while Thursdays are dominated by raucous students. Saturday is a lary 70s night of wigs and faux-Travolta gesticulations, although anyone who gets a bit sniffy about that sort of thing can seek refuge in a separate room given over to funky house. Things switch down a gear on Sunday when it’s all about laidback R&B.
