This bar is in a terrible state and I found it to be truly disgusting. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the furnishings were so grotty and old it defied belief, there was no evidence of a Health and Hygiene certificate anywhere. The staff had their fingers up their noses, in their hair and ears, they used inappropriate language and were dressed very scruffily. There was no handwash in the toilets, which themselves smelled suspect, and from what i could see of the pub's kitchen, it looked very dirty. Even the carpeting on the stairs connecting the downstairs and upstairs bars was so tattered I very nearly tripped on it. The cabinet, in which sat some very sorry looking cakes and random non-edible items, was totally filthy. I would strongly recommend giving this so called restaurant a very wide berth, especially if you have young children or if any member of your party has a less than perfect immune system. Least of all should this pub be considered as a place for consuming food.
